Cardinals have prepped for Watson all year

Like everyone else, Louisville’s defense works on the deep ball every day in practice. However, unlike everyone else, they put even more time into it, especially in the spring and fall camps.

Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino mentioned during his Monday press conference that his team spent some practice time in the spring and over the summer preparing for Clemson and Florida State, knowing the ACC’s Atlantic Division title runs through both schools.

Because of quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receiver Mike Williams, the Cardinals devoted a little more time to the deep pass in preparation for the Tigers’ aerial attack.
