DeShaun Watson is Key in Bigtime Recruiting Class for Clemson

Deshaun Watson committed to Clemson during his sophomore season. He has flirted with other schools but recently said he was done with recruiting and reaffirmed his commitment to the Tigers. Watson is regarded by many as the best QB of the 2014 class and his presence as a Clemson recruit has already helped with recruiting

Watson is the top QB according to both Rivals and ESPN. He has the talent and size that is a game changer for any school. Watson stands 6-3 and has a very accurate arm. Add that to his ability to make plays with his feet and you have a stud quarterback. He should compete for starting QB the moment he steps on a Clemson practice field. He has already broken Georgia state passing records and he still has a season to go. He also led Gainesville to its first Georgia State Championship. His Championship play has drawn interest from the like of Alabama, LSU, and Ohio State. One of the biggest positives about Watson is off the field. Nearly every big time recruit in Georgia has a friendship with Watson and are interested in playing alongside of him.

One of those Georgia recruits, 4 star TE Milan Richard, has already committed to Clemson. The role Watson played in his commitment was critical. Watson is also close with Demarre Kitt a 4 star receiver. Kitt could be the best receive of the 2014 class. Take one look at his game tape and you think he is the next Nuk Hopkins. He runs good routes, is quick, and can make any catch look easy. He has 1st NFL draft written all over him. Not only are these 2 in the fray with influence from Watson but a number of other big time Georgia recruits are including very highly touted LB Raekwon McMillan, 4 Star RB Adam Choice, 4 star S Nick Glass, and a slew of other talented guys.

Watson's role in Clemson's future is very big. He has tons of pressure on him to fulfill the aspirations that has been put on him. His personality and talent will help him reach his peak performance but he realizes that in order to be successful you have to have good, talented people around you and that is what he is starting to do in the 2014 recruiting class.
