The Good
–Not a lot to enjoy about tonight’s game, but here’s something: Joey Votto had a classic Joey Votto line. Votto went 2-3 with a walk. He was the only Red with more than one hit, but we keep waiting for Votto to start hitting like himself again, so my fingers are crossed.
–I’m going to put Dan Straily’s performance tonight under the “Good” heading, because I can do whatever I want. It wasn’t the best outing ever, but I’m liking what I see from Straily. Tonight: six innings, two runs allowed on five hits and three walks, five strikeouts.
