Hamilton, DeSclafani drawing interest at WM

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- The Reds have a unique speed threat with center fielder Billy Hamilton, who is a dynamic presence on the bases and defensively. Other teams seem to covet what Hamilton might do for them, as Hamilton has been one of the topics during the first day of the Winter Meetings.

Teams, including the Rangers, have inquired about Hamilton, MLB.com has learned. According to a source, Cincinnati's asking price is high because the front office believes the 26-year-old switch-hitter has yet to reach his ceiling.

Hamilton is arbitration-eligible for the first time this offseason, but he is not a drain on the team's payroll.
