Clayton Kershaw shuts out Cincinnati, Dodgers top Reds 1-0

The Joe Nuxhall Memorial Vin Scully Honorary Star of the Game

Brandon Finnegan allowed just a single earned run in his eight - yes, eight - innings of work as the Cincinnati Reds starter on Monday, as impressive an outing as the team has seen through the first fourth of the 2016 season. Finnegan's defense let him down three times via errors, too, and the lone run came in part thanks to an errant throw that didn't really need to happen. He induced four double play balls and allowed just five hits, though he did walk more Los Angeles Dodgers (4) than he had strikeouts (2).
