Reds News: Cincinnati To Appear On ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball In April

While it's pretty much a give-in that the Cincinnati Reds' season opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates will be broadcast by ESPN on Opening Day, the Reds will also have a Sunday Night Baseball showcase matchup to look forward to in mid-April as well.

Per Jesse Borek of FanSided, "the Cincinnati Reds have their first Sunday Night game of the year already penciled in. They won’t have to wait very long in fact, securing an April 19, 2015, date against the St. Louis Cardinals from Busch Stadium. The series will be the second straight weekend in which the Redlegs will match up with the Redbirds."

The Reds and Cardinals met on Sunday Night Baseball last locked horns in an ESPN matchup on September 21st, 2014, with the Reds out of the race.

This time around, both teams will be looking to get an early leg up on the long haul of the NL Central race.
