Cincinnati Reds a trade fit for Twins' Josh Willingham?

In today's Reds rumors and news update, one ESPN baseball mind believes that the Cincinnati Reds should look at Minnesota Twins outfielder Josh Willingham before the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline.

Per SB Nation's Twinkie Town, "former baseball General Manager and current ESPN analyst Jim Bowden has chosen three teams that are in need of Willingham's services (Insider required): the Cincinnati Reds, the Kansas City Royals, and the Seattle Mariners."

Bowden cites Joey Votto's struggles at the plate in 2014 as reasoning behind acquiring an impact bat such as Willingham's. He also notes the shaky situation for the team in the outfield with both Jay Bruce and Ryan Ludwick having a tough go of it as of late.

Sitting just a game out of an NL Wild Card spot and 1.5 games behind the Brewers for the division lead, the Reds could see Willingham as an integral piece in their chase for a pennant.
