PHOENIX – Marvin Lewis spent an hour at the annual AFC Coaches Breakfast during the owner’s meetings not discussing a playoff loss for the first time since 2011. Also, for the first time since the year the roster turned over with the drafting of Andy Dalton and A.J. Green, he did face repeated questions about if his team is rebuilding.
And repeatedly inside the Arizona Biltmore Hotel and Resort, he insisted despite losing a host of veteran starters, this was far from starting over.
“It’s not rebuilding,” Lewis said. “We’ve put the guys in place. We still have probably likely our three or four, five best players in the midpoint of their careers.
