Dalton (OK), AJ (McCarron) don't miss vs. Bears

Quarterback Andy Dalton suffered a neck injury Saturday night, apparently when he converted a fourth-and-one from the half-yard line to give the Bengals a 7-0 lead over the Bears with 4:17 left in the first quarter at Paul Brown Stadium on the way to Cincinnati’s 21-3 half-time lead.

But head coach Marvin Lewis said Dalton is fine and took him out of the game for “precautionary,” reasons.

Dalton had been expected to play the first half with the first offense, but AJ McCarron took over on the second drive with 14:47 left in the half and went on to deliver a 24-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Marvin Jones with 6:24 left in the half to make it 14-0 as Bengals quarterbacks hit all 12 passes in the first half.
