Cronin: 'We were awful offensively'

ORLANDO – The No. 15-ranked University of Cincinnati basketball is team so good that, here Sunday, a 53-49 upset by Central Florida prompted UCF students to storm the court afterward.

You could look at it that way, or you could see it the way UC coach Mick Cronin and his players did. As in, the Bearcats (25-4, 14-2 American Athletic Conference) simply were outplayed by a good, but not great UCF team (19-10, 10-7 AAC). UC had a three-game winning streak snapped.

“I don’t even know how the game was close, to be honest with you guys, as bad as we played,” Cronin told reporters afterward.
