Carlos Rodon continued his August mastery of major-league hitters and the White Sox took an early lead, added some insurance in the eighth and went on to defeat the Mariners, 4-1.
As a result, the Sox won the series three games to one and completed the nine-game homestand with a fine 6-3 mark.
Rodon went six innings, allowing just one run on five hits and a lone walk along with six strikeouts to win his fifth game of the year (click on top link below).
