Jose Abreu and Robin Ventura stopped short of saying they will root, root, root for the Cubbies to win the franchise's first World Series title since 1908.
But the two White Sox said they wish their neighbors to the north well when they begin their quest to be the best in baseball Oct. 7 in the National League Division Series.
"They have a very good team," Abreu said before the Sox's 7-1 victory against the Rays on Monday at a mostly empty U.S. Cellular Field.
