White Sox to Retire Mark Buehrle’s u211656
The Sox will honor Mark Buehrle on Sunday, June 24 by retiring his u211656 jersey during a pre-game ceremony at Guaranteed Rate Field prior to the 1:10 p.m. game against the Oakland A’s. All White Sox fans in attendance will receive a specially designed u211656 pin.
Buehrle is the 11th Sox player to have his number retired. The others are Nellie Fox (2), Harold Baines (3), Luke Appling (4), Minnie Minoso (9), Luis Aparicio (11), Paul Konerko (14), Ted Lyons (16), Billy Pierce (19), Frank Thomas (35) and Carlton Fisk (72).
