There was a rain-delayed game on Friday, which many of you saw, as the Chicago Cubs opened up their interleague series against the visiting Seattle Mariners with a laugher of a victory. Sprinkled into those 12 runs was a Jason Heyward homer (it totally happened) and some other very timely offense against a Mariners squad that I didn’t think would just lay down and die, but that’s baseball for ya.
