Tom Thibodeau does not owe Chicago Bulls GM Gar Forman or team vice president John Paxson a dime. I do not blame Thibs if he doesn’t want to facilitate a trade to another team, especially if it is to an organization he is not sure will be the right fit.
The New Orleans Pelicans are obviously an appealing team due to the presence of Anthony Davis; however, it could be that Thibodeau will be holding out for some type of front office control. This is not likely to happen in New Orleans, and I would not begrudge Thibs for desiring that after what he has gone through under Forman and Paxson.
