Hedger: Blackhawks may seek to bring back Patrick Sharp

Noise about a possible Blackhawks reunion with forward Patrick Sharp turned up a notch this past weekend at the United Center.

The buzz began circulating at the 2017 NHL draft, when reps from all 31 teams were in one place, and a league source confirmed that speculation on Sunday.

The source said the Blackhawks may seek to bring back Sharp, 35, with a low-risk deal once free agency opens July 1.

The Blackhawks traded Sharp, along with defenseman Stephen Johns, on July 12, 2015, after he helped them win the Stanley Cup for the third time in his 10 seasons with the organization.
