The Chicago Blackhawks were averaging less than 3 goals a game before the calendar turned to February, and then all of a sudden my favorite version of the Chicago Blackhawks showed up for the 2016-2017 season.
The offense was very sporadic in the first four months of the season, with the Hawks able to score 4 or 5 goals or getting shut out depending on how different things materialized from the opposing goalie to how the 2nd line played.
Then in February, Joel Quenneville found some lines that started clicking, and Jonathan Toews offense starting coming around at the same time.
