3 Players The Chicago Bears Are Likely To Draft In The 1st Round Are...

The Chicago Bears have plenty of needs to address in the 2015 NFL Draft, and they hope to bring in an impact draft class that will provide enough oomph to push the team back into the NFC Playoff picture. Here are three potential first-round draft targets that the Bears could zero in on to help make that happen.

1) DE Vic Beasley, Clemson

The Bears were in the middle of pack in 2014 when it came to getting pressure on the quarterback, tying for 16th in the NFL with 39 total sacks. The time is now for Chicago to fine tune a dynamic, talent-rich pass rush, and Clemson’s Beasley had the fastest 40-yard dash of any defensive end at the combine. His freakish athleticism could make him a star on the Soldier Field stage for a good decade.

2) WR Kevin White, West Virginia

If White somehow, some way falls to the Bears at #7, they’ll have to take a good long look at him. Possessing a unique combination of possession-receiver size and home-run playmaking potential, White would be a great get to pair alongside Alshon Jeffery. A possible victim of the Alabama hype machine surrounding Amari Cooper, don’t be surprised if the Bears snag him off the board if he’s there.

3) QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon

The reigning Heisman trophy winner combines elite athleticism with amazing accuracy and smart decision-making, a combination that could make him a special NFL player. However, he comes from a spread offensive system, so while he’s shown he can make every play that’s asked of him, scouts want to see him read a defense from under center. Chicago still has Jay Cutler under contract, but the Bears have raved about Mariota throughout the draft process.
