The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced the Players Voice Awards on Twitter. Marvin Williams was the only Charlotte Hornets‘ player to win an award as he was named the Hornets’ best teammate. This is the second year in a row that Marvin has taken home that honor.
The award is for the teammate that makes the biggest impact on and off the court. In 2016, he was named a finalist for the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award. Steve Clifford and teammates have continually praised Williams for his leadership ability since he arrived in the Queen City in 2014.
