January 20, 2017 – Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has recalled forward Christian Wood from the Greensboro Swarm, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate.
Wood (6-11, 220, University of Nevada-Las Vegas), is in his first year with the Hornets after signing as a free agent on July 14, 2016 after spending his rookie year with the Philadelphia 76ers.This marks Wood’s third D-League stint of the year, appearing in 18 games (16 starts) during his time with Greensboro, averaging 19.6 points, 10.1 boards and 2.6 blocks in 30.0 minutes per contest.
