August 22, 2016 – The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, today announced the schedule for the team’s inaugural season. The Swarm will tip off the 2016-17 season at home on Saturday, November 12 in the newly renovated Greensboro Coliseum Complex Fieldhouse against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the D-League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers. The 50-game schedule consists of 24 home games, 24 away games and two games that will be played at the League’s 13th annual NBA D-League Showcase in January.
“We are incredibly excited to announce our schedule for the upcoming season and open the Swarm’s inaugural year in front of our home crowd here in Greensboro,” said Swarm President Steve Swetoha.
