Charlotte Hornets: Stephen Silas Will Meet With the Golden State Warriors

It has been reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical that Charlotte Hornets’ assistant coach, Stephen Silas, “traveled to Oklahoma City to meet with Warriors officials on Monday night.” Woj also reported that Portland Trailblazers assistant, Nate Tibbetts, also traveled to OKC for a meeting with the Warriors.

Both of these assistants are strong candidates for the Warriors’ top assistant job that will be vacant next season. Golden State’s current associate head coach, Luke Walton, has accepted the Los Angeles Lakers’ head coaching job for next year.

Stephen is the son of longtime NBA head coach, Paul Silas, who coached the Charlotte Hornets from 1999-2002 and 2010-2012.
