While the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, lit up the stat sheet for the Milwaukee Bucks, the Charlotte Hornets were pressuring them most of the night. Their defense built them a big lead early and they never looked back after that.
The Charlotte Hornets took their season opener with a 107-96 victory over the Bucks. The Hornets led by as many as 24 points in the third quarter before the Bucks made a late run. However, the Hornets were able to pull away to make the final margin.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist made his return from injury on opening night and didn’t disappoint.
