The Charlotte Hornets started out their season with Al Jefferson as the starting center but he ended up coming off of the bench by the end of the year. Big Al missed almost half of the season with various injuries. When healthy, he was one of the best offensive big men in the league.
The 31-year-old center didn’t hold up as well as he expected. Big Al dropped 25 pounds during the off-season so that he would be more durable and not sustain lower body injuries as he did in 2014 but that didn’t work. He suffered multiple injuries and was even suspended for five games because of a anti-drug policy.
