Top 3 Hornets Storylines For The 2015 NBA Offseason

We’re in the beginning stages of the Charlotte Hornets' offseason preparations, and there are plenty of plots and subplots to follow on the road to the NBA Draft and July’s free agent push. Here’s the Top 3 Hornets Storylines For The 2015 NBA Offseason.

3. What's The Next Shoe To Drop?

The Hornets put together a major coup of a trade to open things off this offseason, dealing the underperforming Lance Stephenson to the Los Angeles Clippers for valuable veteran swingman Matt Barnes and big man Spencer Hawes. Michael Jordan and the front office aren't done by a long shot, with questions about Mo Williams' impending free agency potentially putting the team in the market for another volume-shooting pure point guard.

2. Will The Hornets Try To Bring Bismack Biyombo Back?

Biyombo has seemingly slotted himself into a career role as a backup center. Is that skill set enough for the Hornets to extend the restricted free agent a qualifying offer at a considerably higher price tag than his $3.87 million salary in 2014-15? Dropping $5 million-plus on a one-dimensional center with limited offensive skills may be a tough pill to swallow, but he at least provided consistency of sorts while Al Jefferson battled injuries throughout the campaign. It's an interesting decision to say the least.

1. Where Does Kemba Walker Go From Here?

Walker struggled from the field again in 2014-15, finishing under 40 percent shooting-wise for the third of his four seasons while posting a dismal 30.4% mark from downtown. Even with his overarching cold spell, Walker led the team in shots taken in 2014-15 -- a troublesome fact for one of the worst shooting teams in all of the league. Walker will need to overhaul his shot something fierce this offseason or risk being typecast as a drive-only guard with limited to no range on the pull-up.
