Women’s tennis continues split weekend action in the Triangle

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis added a pair of singles wins to its fall resume Friday as the 49ers continued action at two different events. The Niners had players participating in the ITA Carolina Regional presented by Oracle in Chapel Hill, while others were seeing action at the NCCU Invitational in Durham.

Sophomore Tai Martin picked up the lone triumph at the ITAs, as she began play in the main draw singles bracket with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Duke's Cristina Makarova. Martin is set to face 15th-seeded Lauren Proctor of Winthrop Saturday morning in her next match.
