CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Running in their largest race to this point of the season, the Charlotte cross country team was one again led by redshirt sophomores Caroline Sang and Tom Nobles in the University of Virginia's Lou Onesty Invitational at Panorama Farms Friday morning.
Sang was the first to cross the finish line for the 49ers on the day as she ran a 17:43.4 to place 17th in a field of 126 runners in the women's 5K. The effort easily surpasses her previous career-best time of 18:43.1 which she set earlier this year at the 2016 Charlotte Preview at Frank Liske Park.
