MATOSINHOS, Portugal – Charlotte rising junior Laia Raventós and her teammates from Spain completed Group Stage action Monday with a perfect 3-0 mark in their A group. The Spaniards were the lone unbeaten country in their group and they advance to the Round of 16, starting Wednesday.
Spain opened the tournament with an 84-59 triumph over Poland Saturday before knocking off Sweden 87-48 Sunday. As one of the favorites in the event, Spain completed the unbeaten ledger with a 65-36 victory against Belgium Monday.
Raventós earned a starting role against Sweden, playing a high of 22 minutes.
