CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte softball team bounced back from a rare loss on Friday with an 8-5 victory over Fairfield before cruising to an 18-3 shellacking of Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon at the D.L. Phillips Softball Complex. The victories propel the Niners (11-4) to rematch with the La Salle Explorers in the Green & White Invitational championship game tomorrow at 12:15 p.m.
GAME ONE
The 49ers got off to another quick start in their first game of the day thanks to a leadoff single by redshirt sophomore Becca Shipper, a dropped third strike to end sophomore Emma Ocker's first at-bat and an infield single by junior Haley Pace.
