TAMPA, Fla. – Sophomore Megan Greene, the 2016 Conference USA Freshman of the Year and 2017 Preseason All-Conference USA Team selection scored two times in the opening 8:30, but Charlotte was unable to maintain its lead in dropping a 3-2 double overtime decision at USF Friday night. It was the season opener for both programs.
"We lost a tough one tonight in overtime," head coach John Cullen said. "It was a real, back-and-forth college game to open up the season. It was a really good spectacle with two well-prepared teams, hard-working teams and very committed.
