TEXARKANA, Ark. – Charlotte senior Seth Gandy tied a career high with a five-under 67 to individually lead the Conference USA Men's Golf Championship by one at the Texarkana Country Club. As a team, the 49ers hold a spot in third place after an opening round 289 (+1).
Gandy has been playing his best golf of the season during the month of April carding his first 67 at the Hoosier Invitational April 1-2 before carding his five-under mark again on Sunday. Gandy drained his first of six birdies on the day, also the tournament leader in that category, on the 227-yard par three third.
