Charlotte, N.C. – Behind five players in double-figures led by Anthony Vanhook's 16 points, the Charlotte 49ers (8-9, C-USA: 2-4) topped Southern Miss (5-12, C-USA: 2-3), 82-66, in Halton Arena.
"We won the rebound battle tonight, so anytime you do that we give ourselves a chance to win, Charlotte coach Mark Price said. "We also had five guys in double-figures tonight and almost six guys in double-figures. We are at our best, when we are all sharing the ball. Offensively we need to keep doing that consistently and defensively we keep getting better.
