CHARLESTON, W. Va. – An early lead followed by a pair of momentum-shifting plays helped the Charlotte 49ers clinch their second-straight trip to the Conference USA Tournament, presented by The First, a National Banking Association, with a 5-3 victory over Marshall on Thursday afternoon. The series-opening victory was also Charlotte's 30th on the year.
"I'm really happy for our guys," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "These seniors are the guys who came in during our first year of Conference USA and we got our tails kicked.
