Baseball gets dismantled by Wake Forest

The Charlotte 49ers (13-8) had no response for the Wake Forest (16-6) offense, losing 13-4 in a game that took over 24 hours to complete due to rain and lighting Tuesday night at BB&T Ballpark, forcing the teams to finish the last 6.2 innings at Charlotte’s Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium.

With runners at first and second and one out in the top of third, Ben Breazeale and Johnny Aiello picked up a RBI off of JD Prochaska to put the Demon Deacons up 2-0 when the game resumed Wednesday night. ACC’s Wake Forest was not done yet, adding on two more runs in the third to jump out to a four-run lead.
