CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Powered by an eight-run bottom of the third, the Charlotte 49ers secured their four-game weekend sweep over Rider with another 12-2 victory on Sunday afternoon. The Niners cranked out 12 hits again in the win posting 10 of their 12 runs over the first three innings.
"It was a good weekend," began Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "We had some lapses on defense over the last three or four games that are uncharacteristic of us. We'll clean that up. We've got some tough games coming up this week. We need to keep getting better.
