Women's basketball's winning streak ends with loss to Purdue

Freshman guard Presley Hudson bends over in grief after the game against the University at Buffalo in Quicken Loans Arena, Saturday, March 12, 2016.

Ending its five-game winning streak, the Central Michigan women's basketball team fell 62-51 to Purdue on Tuesday night at Mackey Arena.

After trailing by 16 points, CMU came back in the fourth quarter with a jump shot from sophomore forward Reyna Frost and two three-pointers from junior guard Cassie Breen.

Although her Chippewas put up a fight in the second half, Head Coach Sue Guevara said her team struggled with scoring and keeping a consistent defense.
