Marcus Keene drops career-high 40 points, Central Michigan downs Green Bay in high-scoring affair

Marcus Keene and Braylon Rayson had career nights.

The Central Michigan men’s basketball team needed every bit of everything they provided.

The Chippewas’ dynamic backcourt duo combined for 70 points Tuesday as CMU improved to 8-2 by outrunning Green Bay, 107-97, in a highly entertaining shootout at McGuirk Arena.

Keene scored 40 points and dished out 11 assists – both career-highs – and Rayson matched his career-high with 30 points as CMU won its fourth straight game, a streak that started nine days ago with an 89-77 win at Green Bay.

“I don’t know, we just turned it up,” said Rayson, who scored 18 of his points in the first half.
