MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan men’s basketball team was picked to finish sixth in the six-team Mid-American Conference West Division in a poll released by the league on Friday.
The Chippewas, who finished 17-16 last season, received two first-place votes and 77 total points from the panel comprising league coaches and media members who cover the league.
Eastern Michigan, with 16 first-place votes and 178 points, was picked to win the West, and Akron was selected to win the East. The Zips received 15 first-place votes and 194 points.
