CMU, Ball State tied for MAC West lead heading into home stretch

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Central Michigan University women’s basketball team had its Mid-American Conference winning streak snapped at seven games Saturday as it lost at Ball State 81-73.

The Chippewas fall to 21-7 overall and to 13-3 in MAC play via the loss while Ball State improves to 20-8 overall and to 13-3 in conference play.

CMU and Ball State are now tied for the MAC West Division lead and best overall record in the conference with two games left on the regular season docket.

The Cardinals raced out to an 8-0 lead early and then pushed it to 22-6 before the Chippewas clawed back and made a game of it.
