Chippewa Field Hockey Picked 6th In MAC Poll

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team finished tied for sixth in the Mid-American Conference in a poll of league coaches released today.

The Chippewas and league newcomer Appalachian State finished with four points each in the poll, sharing sixth place.

Kent State, which won both the regular season and tournament titles in 2016, received 41 points to earn the top spot in the poll. Kent State was also the top pick to win the MAC Tournament.

The Golden Flashes, who received six first-place votes, finished six points ahead of Miami (Ohio).
