CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Ron Rivera said the 1-5 start by the Carolina Panthers is his toughest challenge since becoming a head coach.

Then in the same breath he said the Panthers weren’t in a “bad spot" because the division-leading Atlanta Falcons (4-2) lost at Seattle on Sunday.

“The easiest thing to do is quit, but shoot, we’ve got 10 games to play," the two-time NFL Coach of the Year said. “What we’ve got to do is take care of our business and do the things we’re capable of. That starts now.’’

Rivera then reminded players before they left on Tuesday for the bye week that they have a chance to do what Kansas City did last season.
