Carolina Panthers sign G Trai Turner to four-year extension

Marty Hurney didn’t waste any time making a splash as the Carolina Panthers’ interim general manager as he was able to work out an extension with starting right guard Trai Turner. The starting offensive guard broke the news on Twitter shortly after signing.

The two-time Pro Bowler out of LSU started all 16 games for the Panthers last year and, because of injuries to the offensive line, even saw time at right tackle. The extension itself is a four year deal worth $45 million with $20.5 million guaranteed, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Panthers gave Trai Turner a 4-year $45M extension, including $20.
