The Carolina Hurricanes wrapped up a six-game road trip by playing in their last regular season game at the Joe Louis Arena. The good news is that the state fair road trip is finally over. The bad news is that it ended in a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
A sluggish start allowed the Wings to score in the first five minutes of the game, and they continued to dominate play in the first, out shooting the Canes 10-5 and scoring three unanswered goals:
