Carolina Hurricanes Succeed at IIHF World Championships

Carolina Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters coached Canada to their second championship in two years. Canada had a tournament best record 9-1 record and +35 goal differential. It was good to see a Hurricanes coach get handed the most prestigious international coaching position and excel on the international stage.

The World Championships aren’t the Olympics, but it’s still good to see Peters get to coach other players and see success at another level. These kinds of experiences allow other players to become familiar with his system, and can even be influential and can be a factor in choosing the Carolina Hurricanes in free agency
