Carolina Hurricanes Prospect Profile: Haydn Fleury

Haydn Fleury, a defenseman was drafted seventh overall in the 2014 NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. In August of 2014, he signed a three year entry level contract. For those of you wondering he is not related to Pittsburgh Penguins Marc-Andre Fleury, or legend Theo Fleury. Haydn Fleury made his pro debut with the Carolina Hurricanes AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers following his fourth junior season with the Red Deer Rebels; scoring a goal in his only game with the Checkers and finishing -1 with no penalties. An assistant captain with Red Deer, he scored 6 goals with 22 assists and was +4 with 63 penalty minutes in 63 regular season games.
