Carolina Hurricanes New Player Profile: Teuvo Teravainen

It was announced in June that the Carolina Hurricanes had traded for forwards Teuvo Teravainen and Bryan Bickell. Teravainen, 21, had 13 goals and 35 points in 78 regular-season games and one point and 13 shots on goal in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games. He was selected by the Blackhawks with the 18th pick of the 2012 NHL Draft and made his NHL debut during the 2013-14 season. He had 10 points in 18 playoff games last season to help the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup.

“This deal allowed us to use some of our collected draft picks to improve our group of forwards for the coming season by adding two Stanley Cup champions,” Hurricanes general manager Ron Francis said.
