Carolina Hurricanes Name Justin Faulk their 2nd Alternate Captain

On Wednesday, the Carolina Hurricanes announced that the club has named 23-year-old defenseman Justin Faulk their second alternate captain.

Faulk joins the likes of Eric Staal and Jordan Staal as leadership players on the Hurricanes for the 2015-2016 season.

Carolina Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters talked about the move in the team’s official press release and sent a lot of praise towards Faulk.

“Justin has emerged as an All-Star player in this league and a leader in our dressing room,”said Peters.“His leadership is on display every day in his commitment to his teammates, and carries through to his dedication to the organization and our community.
