Carolina Hurricanes Begin Contract Conversations with RFA Victor Rask

Victor Rask was originally selected in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft with the 42nd overall pick by the Carolina Hurricanes. Rask made his NHL debut a year later in the 2014-2015 season and went on to play 80 games registering 33 total points (11g, 22a) along the way.

Rask was more successful in his Sophomore season, and had a career year. He scored 48 points (21g, 27a) in 80 games, and finished tied for second on the team in points with Jordan Staal.

After a successful 2015-2016 campaign the young Swede was invited to play for his home country in the IIHF World Championships.
