Victor Rask was originally selected in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft with the 42nd overall pick by the Carolina Hurricanes. Rask made his NHL debut a year later in the 2014-2015 season and went on to play 80 games registering 33 total points (11g, 22a) along the way.
Rask was more successful in his Sophomore season, and had a career year. He scored 48 points (21g, 27a) in 80 games, and finished tied for second on the team in points with Jordan Staal.
After a successful 2015-2016 campaign the young Swede was invited to play for his home country in the IIHF World Championships.
