The Carolina Hurricanes announced on Thursday that Michelle McMahon, a studio host and reporter for the Big Ten Network based in Chicago, will join the team as a on-air television and web host in the 2015-16 season. McMahon, a 2012 graduate of the University of Michigan, has hosted hockey and lacrosse programming on BTN for the past three years, in addition to serving as a sideline reporter for multiple sports in the Chicago area on multiple networks.
McMahon replaces Chantel McCabe, whose contract with the Canes was not renewed after it ended on June 30. Among McMahon's responsibilities will be hosting Hurricanes LIVE!
