Hurricanes and Bayer CropScience Host Second 'Go Green Night'

RALEIGH, NC – The National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes partnered with Bayer CropScience to host the second annual “Go Green Night” on March 28 when Carolina hosted the New Jersey Devils.

Prior to the game, the Hurricanes and PNC Arena held a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. Fans were asked to bring paint, solvents, aerosols, acids, batteries, propane tanks, fluorescent lights and other household items for responsible recycling. Hurricanes defenseman Brett Bellemore was on hand at the event to greet fans and distribute entry forms for fans dropping off recycling items. Those fans were entered to win one of two autographed green jerseys that the team wore during its pregame warmup.
